Art reproduction questions, answered.
How do you reproduce a painting or artwork?
We scan the original at 52 megapixels — with no size limit, and even through glass — colour-manage the file on calibrated monitors, then print it with Canon’s 12 archival inks on the fine-art paper you choose.
What is giclée printing?
Giclée is fine-art inkjet printing that uses pigment inks and archival papers to reproduce artwork and photography at very high quality. Our prints use Canon’s 12 archival inks on Hahnemühle and Canson papers.
How long will a giclée print last?
Printed with archival Canon inks on Hahnemühle and Canson papers, our giclée prints are rated to last well over 100 years without noticeable fading.
Can you scan work that’s framed or behind glass?
Yes. Our scanning minimises reflections and captures fine detail even through glass, so framed pieces don’t always need to be taken apart.
What papers can I choose from?
A full library of archival papers — textured fine-art cotton, photo rag, lustre, gloss and matte, canvas, and specialist metallic and poster papers. We’ll recommend the best match for your work.
Do you keep my files for reprints?
Yes — we securely archive your files, so repeat orders are quick and perfectly consistent with the first print run.
Where are you based and who do you work with?
We’re in Truro, Cornwall, and have reproduced work for artists and photographers across the county since 2003.
